- Visit the birthplace of Millard Fillmore, our
13th President. Also tour a reproduction of the log cabin
where he lived his early years.

- Commemorate an important event in the history of
U.S. trade which was facilitated by President
Fillmore--the opening of the port of Japan to U.S.
trade--as the Japanese Cherry trees, a recent gift from
the Japanese government, herald in Spring in the Village
of Moravia.
- Exquisite Bavarian oak carvings, designed and
executed in Oberammergau, Germany, adorn St. Mathew's
Church. This early 1820's Episcopal Church was
consecrated by Bishop John Henry Hobart, founder of
Hobart College. Tours by Appointment.
- Visit the Cayuga-Owasco
Lake Historical Society where over
1,000 artifacts, from furnishings to clothing, are on
display. Also, let the society's experts assist you in
tracking, in their extensive genealogical records, your
family history.
- Take a step back in the history of the region at
New Hope Mills, where you can purchase organic flours,
specialty mixes, and grains which are produced in the
original manner. This water powered mill has been
operating since 1823.
- Take another step back in the history of this
region and go antiquing in the many shops, flea markets,
and auctions which carry Early American furniture, home
and farming implements, etc.
