Explore Cayuga County's Waterways!

Located in the heart of New York's Finger Lakes Region, Cayuga County is abundant in natural resources and outdoor recreational opportunities. Crossing within our boundaries is a Great Lake, three of NY's Finger Lakes, portions of the Erie Canal, numerous smaller water bodies, and a range of rivers and streams to canoe and kayak.

This web site provides information on points of access to our waterways, allowable uses of each water resource, available facilities, associated fees, corridor classification, the presence of flora and fauna, scenic views, and other interesting details associated with each of the water bodies within the County. Emphasis has been placed on mapping the access sites for non-motorized boats such as canoes and kayaks. Those sites that allow access by motorized boats are so noted.
