Peachtown Elementary is an independent non-sectarian day school serving Cayuga County and the surrounding areas. The school is governed by a board of directors and is located on the Wells College campus. Peachtown is chartered by the New York State Board of Regents to offer grades pre-kindergarten through eight.

Peachtown School emphasizes learning in depth, self reliance, creativity, intrinsic motivation and individual and civic responsibility through an environment that fosters active learning. Active learning engages the feelings and spirit of the child, as well as the intellect and recognizes that the acquisition of knowledge is an active, constructive process. Hence curriculum at Peachtown is, in part, a function of the interests and experiences of the students and is often interdisciplinary in nature. Our mission and philosophy are key to our individualized learning program that helps all students to realize their academic and human potential. No student fails to be challenged, and no student is left out.
